The Under 18's first ranking tournament final offered the best pool junior talents currently in Malta.  Lothar Mallia and Lyden Debono left the audience with suspance till the end of the game with a thrilling final frame that had to decide the winner. Mallia had to suffer to beat three years younger Debono 6-5.

Mallia's longer experience was crucial along the game and this was the only difference between the two players.  This was the first final for Debono who plays for San Gwann Bocci Club. 

In the semi finals Mallia beat Wedley Zammit of Downtown Bar 5-4 while Debono trounced Dylan Attard of Pandora Bar 5-3
