Miguel Falzon claimed his first ever ranking tournament victory by winning the second open ranking event of the season organised by the Malta Pool Association.

The Top Gun Bar player had to wait for the final frame to grab the victory over Christ Tabone of Jojo's Bar with an 8-7 final score. Thanks to this victory Falzon moved to second place in the national ranking list behind Clayton Attard of St. Joseph Band Club who kept the number one spot. In the semi finals Falzon overwhelmed Christ Mills of Domus Kids 7-3 while Tabone had the better of Ray Caruana of Taste Good Bar 7-4.

In the Under 18's category Emerson Camilleri, who plays for 147 Snooker Hall, clinched his first ranking victory by beating first time finalist Dylan Attard of Pandora Bar 6-3. In the semi finals Camilleri cruised category number one Lothar Mallia 5-3 while Attard trounced Lyden Debono of San Gwann Bocci Club 5-4.
