Wayne Bonnici clinched victory in the final of Qualifier Tournament No. 1 played in Pandora Theater in Zejtun Band Club.

The Espadon Bar player, had to struggle to beat Johan Attard of Jumpin Jak's Bar in the final with an 8-7 score.  Thanks to this victory Bonnici grabbed a place in the national team that will represent Malta in the coming European Championships which are being held in Ireland between the 16th and 20th February.

In the semi finals, both ending with the same score of 7-4, Bonnici overwhelmed Alfred Micallef of Taste Good Bar while Attard had the better of Christ Tabone of Jojo's Bar.
