Malta lost to England in the opening game of the European Eight-ball Pool Championships being held in Dundalk in Ireland.

Till the end of the second session the Maltese players kept the pace and were at par with a 5-5 score.  The third and last session proofed to be disastrous for the Maltese players who did not manage to win a single frame and hence losing the game 5-10.

Malta will once again be in action later on this evening against the national team of Wales.
