The Under 18's Worlds Qualifier Tournament came to an end yesterday when Kane Smith grabbed his first ever tournament victory.

In the final, played at Pandora Theater in Zejtun Band Club, the La Cubana Bar player defeated first time finalist Owen Cremona of Espadon Bar with a 6-3 score.  This was the first final experience for both player who clinched a place in the national Under 18's team that will be representing Malta in the July in the World Pool Championships being held in Blackpool.
