Christ Tabone of Jojo's Bar won the second series of 'Open Ranking Tournaments' organised by the Malta Pool Association. The tournament that attracted over 100 players was held in Pandora Hall situated in Zejtun Band Club.

In the final Tabone overwhelmed Phillip Ciantar of 147 Snooker Hall with a convincing 8-5 victory. This was the first ranking tournament victory in Tabone's carrier.  This victory secured  him a place in the national team that will be representing Malta in next year's European & World Championships.

In the semi finals Tabone cruised Brian Grech of Espadon Bar 7-2 while Ciantar grabbed last frame and 8-7 victory over Miguel Falzon of Top Gun Bar.
